The Kwara State Government has commended the management of Irepodun and Isin Local Government Areas of the state over the execution of projects at various communities.
Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Arc. Aliyu Muhammad Saifuddeen separately made the commendation during his familiarization visits to Omu-Aran and Owu-Isin, headquarters of the two Local Governments to commission the projects.
The Commissioner stated that the idea of committing huge funds to community-driven projects was an indication of the Councils’ untiring commitments to the welfare of the people of the benefiting Communities.
Among the projects commissioned during the visits were the newly constructed blocks of classroom with an administrative office at Okori in Onileowo Community at Omu-Aran and a motorized borehole at the Council Secretariat for the use of Staff and residents of the neighbourhood.
Similarly, at Isin Local Government, the Commissioner inspected the Poultry Farm of the Council and commissioned various newly constructed and renovated boreholes spread across the 10 wards of the Council.
For their part, the Directors of Personnel Management in Irepodun and Isin Local Governments, Barrister Babatunde Ahmed and Alhaji Abdulrazaq Olaitan respectively appreciated the Commissioner for providing a template through which the Councils were provided with funds to execute community based projects after the disbursement of first line charges every month.
