Kwara govt commences inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure quality execution

The Kwara State Government has announced plans to begin rigorous inspections of all infrastructural projects undertaken by the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration as they near completion.

This initiative reinforces the government’s firm stance on maintaining a zero tolerance for substandard project execution.

Dr. Segun Ogunsola, the Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, while addressing the Ministry, highlighted the need for staff to actively support the ongoing efforts to improve the state’s critical infrastructure for the benefit of citizens.

Ogunsola emphasized the importance of ensuring that investments in these projects are used wisely, while urging the staff to intensify their monitoring of all projects under the Ministry’s oversight, holding contractors accountable to their contractual obligations.

Mr. Adeola Adefila, Director of Personnel, Finance, and Supply, reaffirmed the commitment of the staff to successfully implement government programs and projects, acknowledging the significant progress made thus far. He praised Dr. Ogunsola’s dynamic leadership, which has led to positive changes within the Ministry.

In addition, directors from various departments, including Quantity Survey, Building Services, and Public Building and Works, presented an overview of their progress, assuring continued dedication to delivering the benefits of governance to the citizens of Kwara State.
