Kwara Govt breaks silence over social workers’ protest
The Kwara State Government in a press statement signed by commissioner for Environment, Architect Mohammed Saifudeen has broken its silence over a protest staged on Monday by some social workers employed by a third party company to sanitise Ilorin metropolis. For emphasis, these social workers are not government’s workers.
The commissioner, however noted that the government is currently in discussion with the consultants on the issues of salary arrears that the consultants are owing the women to ensure that the same is paid soon.
Architect Mohammed said the administration of governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman expressed dissatisfaction with the services of the outsourcing company which may prompt a re-negotiation of the contract reached with previous administration.
Theinformant247 further gathered Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman had constituted a makeshift task force charged with supervision of environmental sanitation of the state capital.
The government said that the services being delivered by the contracted company do justify the humongous pay its rakes in from public coffers.

the commissioner said the community workers will definitely have their money paid very soon by the consultants while all pending issues are resolved.
