The Chief Operating Officer of the Kwara Kiddies League, Ibrahim Jatto has expressed his delight on winning his election as one of the members of the Ilorin West Local Football Council.
Jatto, an avid football organiser and administrator was elected alongside other four members of the council in an elections which was held on Wednesday at the Kwara State football Association secretariat in Ilorin.
Speaking after receiving his certificate of return, he promised to contribute his quota to the development of the game.
“This is a call to do more for the development of grassroots football. I am delighted to take this responsibility with the hope to do my best for the round leather game. We will not let our people down,” he said.
Jatto, who is also the Head of Media and Communications of the Kwara Football Academy is expected to work alongside the new council members as led by their Chairman are saddled with the responsibility to pilot the affairs of football at the local government level.
As the COO of the Kwara Kiddies YEG league, Jatto has established dynamic and proactive machinery and structure in driving the kiddies league which is now in its second edition.
The league has received commendations from far and near due to the innovations and gilt-edged approaches in its organisation.
While Alhaji Adebayo AbdulRasaq Owolabi Wopa emerged as the Chairman of Ilorin West Football Council, Omolabi Issa was elected as Vice Chairman with Aliyu Aminat, Surakat Mahmud Taiye and Shehu-Abdulkadir Ibrahim Jatto emerging as memebers.
