Kwara govt announces date for common entrance exams
The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, has announced August 10, 2024, for the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State.
According to a statement issued on Monday by Peter Amogbonjaye, the Press Secretary of the Ministry, the examination is expected to commence by 8:00 am prompt in the various examination centres across the State.
The statement, while stating that the instructive for the examination has been paid in full by the state government, warned that any Principal/Headteacher caught collecting illegal money from the pupils would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
It, however, stated that the affected pupils must come with their screen cards duly signed by the Principal of the School of their choice, warning that no pupil would be allowed to sit for the examination without their screen card.
The statement concluded by warning the Principals/Headteachers and pupils to shun all forms of examination malpractices during the conduct of the examination
