A popular Biafra agitator and separatist, Simon Ekpa, on Friday disclosed that Igbos are not committing crimes to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
The Finland-based lawyer and Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, stated this via his verified Twitter handle in response to IPOB’s factional spokesperson, Emma Powerful.
It could be recalled that Powerful gave President Bola Ahmed Tinubu conditions to end insecurity in the southeast.
However, Ekpa, while noting that Kanu has nothing to do with criminals in the southeast, said Biafrans are not committing crimes in the region to press home the release of their leader but, instead, through peaceful civil disobedience.
He said sit-at-home has nothing to do with criminality in the southeast, while reiterating the call for Kanu’s release before July 30, 2023.
“Disregard these criminals calling themselves IPOB. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has nothing to do with criminals in the South East. Biafrans are not committing crimes for Kanu’s release; rather, they are agitating for his release through civil disobedience”, he wrote.
