Kwara: Fagbemi receives APC National Chairman’s SSA

The Chairman of the Kwara Chapter of the All I’m Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi, on Monday received the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman of the party, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu on Civil Society, Comrade Ben Duntoye.

Duntoye, a formost Pan-African and youth activist, during a courtesy call on Prince Fagbemi, commended the leadership of the State Chairman and his executives for the unity and seamless cordial relationship with the state government, acknowledging it as sign of maturity and experience.

The former President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, appreciated the State Chairman and other executive members present for the warm reception and promised to use the new office diligently in the interest of Kwara and the nation at large.

“I like to express my appreciation to His Excellency, Malam AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq for his support in facilitating the appointment. This is yet another plus to Kwara State from our no- noise but performing Governor.

“I want to sincerely thank you for the fatherly role you have always played. I promise to continue to be a good ambassador of the state in the new assignment,” Duntoye said.

Duntoye, who was the Head of Youth Delegation to the 2005 National Political Reform Conference and a member of the Civil Society Delegation to the National Conference 2014, said Sen Abdullahi Adamu is the first party Chairman in Nigeria who will be creating that office, adding that it shows the importance and value the APC put on Civil Society.

He commended Gov. AbdulRazaq for his landmark achievements and asserted that AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq is now a household name in Kwara due to the people oriented programmes and projects.

He said, “The Governor’s second term is assured by God’s Grace and we will keep working and reaching out to the civil society which includes the youth, women, labour and other no- state actors in the state to continue to support him.”

The Kwara APC Chairman while welcoming Comrade Duntoye to his office, congratulated and urged him to be good representative of the state.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We know you, your past records and pedigree. We are confident that you will make us proud.” Prince Fagbemi said.

He advised Duntoye to serve APC well in all his capacity and make Kwara State proud.
