Kwara elite political women for SYD hold rally, declare support for APC candidates

Kwara Elite Political Women for SYD have organised a rally in Ilorin West to express support for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rally, held on Sunday, brought together members of the group, which has coordinators across the 16 local government areas of Kwara State, as part of its political mobilisation activities.

The rally was organised by the group’s Ilorin West chapter, covering Wara, Osin and Ibojola, as the organisation joined other political groups in campaigning for candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the event, the convener, Mrs Suliat Abdulaziz, urged members to mobilise support for APC candidates in their respective communities and ensure that voters cast their ballots for the party at their polling units.

She also appreciated the APC candidates in Kwara State, including Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and other party candidates, for their participation in the state’s political process.

Also addressing the gathering, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Kwara State Governor, Hon. Sai Kayi, called on supporters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the elections.

Sai Kayi urged members to work towards securing victory for the APC in their respective polling units and support the party across all elective positions in 2027.

He called on the supporters to vote for APC candidates from top to bottom in the forthcoming elections.
