Kwara commissioner debunks “10 Exotic Jeeps Demand” story
…implores public to disregard report she affronts deputy governor
It was reported that the Hon commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Aisha Ahman Pategi is exploring her position to get the Deputy Governor of Kwara, Mr. Kayode Alabi to help her press home before the Kwara State House of Assembly, her demand for Ten Exotic (10) Jeeps for personal use.
The story further held that the commissioner, by the virtue of her influence in the current regime is affronting the Mr. Kayode Alabi forcing the number two citizen of the state to kneel down before her for hours, calling herself Super Commissioner.
The report also alleged that the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman is encouraging Financial Extravagance as the commissioner is being accorded the liberty to run expensive Hotel bills.
In a rejoinder signed by her media office the commissioner debunked the story, tagging it a “figment of fantasy.”
The statement read in parts: “One Comrade Abubakar Olaitan Ajewole, a merchant of falsehood had committed a huge fallacy in his badly woven commentary titled: “KWARA DEPUTY GOVERNOR TURNED HIMSELF BUMBOY TO COMMISSIONER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND CHIEFTAINCY AFFAIRS,” in that piece, he alleged the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Aisha Ahman Pategi of affronting the office of the Deputy Governor, the speaker, Kwara state and perpetrating Financial Mismanagement.
“In the instance of opportunist as Comrade Abubakar Olaitan, I am beginning to see plethora of justifications the National Assembly should soldier on the enactment of Social Media Bill. Even though i am not an apostle of such a draconian and anti-people bill that gags members of the public from airing their political standpoints.
“In succinct term, such venomous report is a figment of fantasy woven to put into disrepute the glittering personality of the Honorable Commissooioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
“For the umpteenth time, the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi is a boss and brother to the commissioner as their relationship has been cordial even before the current administration took charge of governance. Hajia Aisha Ahman Pategi is a down to earth public servant who has always seen Mr. Kayode Alabi as a Guiding Figure.
“Thus, it is only a man of weak intellect who would conjure such brazenly malicious statement that the Deputy Governor is playing a Boy Friday to her commissioner.
“Moreover, it is libellous to imagine that the commissioner wrote to the Hon Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, seeking to acquire Ten Exotic Jeeps costing Thirty Eight (38) Million Naira. I make bold to say, the Honourable Commissioner is averse to such arrant abuse of office as she doesn’t have the prerogative of her own to push for a massive personal demand considering the financial muscle of the state. And in the event such emergency need arises, she would not fail to channel her statutory request to the appropriate authorities.
“And the speaker, a well reserved, intellectual and gentle person is a brother whose relationship with the Hon commissioner transcends politics.
“The Hon speaker is from Kwara North Senatorial District as the commissioner, their relationship is of a good brothers and sisters, well grounded relationship of a long age.
“Against the innuendo that she runs expensive hotel bills, the commissioner, outside politics is a successful international business personality (in different sectors) from a well to do family. She had served as Media Aide to former Speaker of the House of Representatives for years. She is a very industrious woman with massive financial success.
“It is on record that she has not received a dime from the Kwara State Government as Housing Allowance. Rather she has been personally footing her own Hotel Bills. As a business woman , Hajia Aisha Pategi got the personal requisite to take care and charge of her security and will continue to guide her personal repute which she have built before now.
“However, Hon. commissioner is a well grounded, religious woman of high literacy , full of humility as she continues to display in all of her engagements with people. Relating her to this irresponsible write-up from one pseudo media junta is irresponsible, desperate and a high sense of unintelligent politicking. The Hon commissioner hereby task the public to regard the virulent writeup as an irresponsible one from a desperate and image assassin that only wants to work on people sentiments to tarnish the cordial relationship the Hon commissioner is enjoying with all politicians, government and the good people of Kwara state.
“For a record, the regime of Mallam Abdulrazaq abdulrahman is a known for demystifying governance as it is premised on transparency and cutting short in government expenses,” the Media Aide to the commissioner added.
