Kwara begins 2026 promotion CBT for civil servants—oral interviews for successful candidates to begin Oct. 5
The Kwara State Government has commenced the 2026 promotion evaluation Computer-Based Test (CBT) for eligible civil servants in the state.
The Acting Head of Service, Dr Olufunke Mercy Shittu, flagged off the examination on Tuesday at the Kwara Innovation Hub, Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin.
The examination forms part of the 2026 promotion exercise and is designed to assess the knowledge, competence and professional capacity of eligible officers in the state public service.
Shittu urged participants to comply with the examination guidelines and approach the exercise with seriousness and confidence.
She stressed the importance of professionalism, discipline and continuous learning among public servants
The Acting Head of Service assured candidates that the promotion exercise would be conducted in accordance with established rules and procedures.
The Chairman of the Kwara State Civil Service Commission, Habibat Yusuf, also urged candidates to remain focused throughout the examination.
Yusuf said the CBT format had made the promotion examination process faster and easier compared with the previous method.
She announced that oral interviews for candidates who successfully complete the CBT would commence on October 5, 2026.
She urged civil servants to remain diligent and committed to their responsibilities, stressing the importance of professionalism and effective service delivery.
