Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, on Tuesday held demonstrations over alleged hoarding of registration materials for the ongoing party membership revalidation/registration exercise.
The APC loyalists from Kwara Deputy Governor’s Council stormed the state capital to express their grievances over inability to revalidate their membership of the ruling party.
They accused the two lawmakers representing the local government (Omupo and Share/Oke-ode State Constituencies) in Kwara State House of Assembly; Hon AGF Salaudeen and Hon Owolabi of collaborating with some selfish elements to keeping registration forms and APC Membership register in private residence in Ilorin to deny many people opportunity to register as directed by the National Secretariat.
Kwara Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi while addressing the protesters promised to intervene and ensure all eligible members revalidated their membership while new members registered.
Kayode Alabi also fixed a stakeholder meeting for Wednesday.
