KMC mourns cop killed in Geri-Alimi robbery
A pro democracy group, Kwara Must Change, on Thursday, expressed sadness over the death of a policeman during a robbery that took place at an ATM facility in Geri Alimi Ilorin, on Tuesday.
In a statement by the group’s state coordinator, Comrade Yusuf Olatunji, they hailed the proactive response of police to the emergency call by citizens during the unfortunate incident that claimed the live of one police officers.
“We sympathised with the police, commended their bravery and determination to protect lives and properties in Kwara State,” Yusuf said.
The group also called on citizens to be more security conscious and urged them to support the police in their efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
