She subsequently went to LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos to study Medical Microbiology.

Henshaw was employed in the Bauchi State General Hospital in Bauchi, Nigeria. Kate Henshaw worked as a model before becoming an actress, appearing in a number of advertisements, including a print and television advertisement for Shield deodorant.
She debuted her career in the Entertainment industry in 1993 when she auditioned for the lead role in When the Sun Sets. Her skills earned her the part, which was her debut in a major Nollywood film. Despite the fact that her breakthrough was not quick, it was from there that she developed into the actress she is today. She’s starred in over a hundred films, including Aremu the Principal and Above the Death.
