Kano Governor, Ganduje gifts N250m to victims of market fire incidents in Kano

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has released the sum of N250 million to victims of fire outbreaks which razed Kurmi, Singa and Rimi markets.

This was revealed in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Abba Anwar on Thursday March 16, in Kano.

The Governor sent his message of sympathy to the victims and wished them Allah’s Blessing and Divine replacement from Allah of lost property during the fire outbreak.

“A Committee was raised to screen the magnitude of the tragic disasters, as some victims lost their properties more than others.

The statement added that the committee would see how the victims should be helped.

The Governor said the funds have been kept in the custody of the committee for distribution to the victims.

Senator Barau Jibrin, also made a donation of N20 million during the meeting, affirming that he’s following the humanitarian steps of the Governor.
