June 12: Kaduna NSCDC deploys 2,000 personnel
Ahead of the commemoration of Democracy Day, the commandant of the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Idris Yahaya Adah, has ordered the deployment of 2, 000 personnel across the state.
Adah, in a statement issued on Sunday, by the command’s public relations officer, DSC Habeeb Badamsi, said that Kaduna State, being the centre of the north, needs the presence of security personnel to ensure a hitch-free celebration.
“We are strategically at the centre of the north (Kaduna); we must beef up security at all times. Our men are up and doing to protect lives, property, and critical national infrastructure. The people of the state need us; we must protect them, and that is why we deploy personnel across the 23 local government areas of the state,” he said.
The NSCDC commandant, while assuring the people of the state of the safety of their lives and property, urged them to go about their normal business activities as gallant NSCDC personnel are on the ground to ensure adequate protection, while advising all officers to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
