Jay-Jay Okocha gets National honour of OON
Nigeria’s Football Legend, Jay Jay Okocha has been conferred with a National award by outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was conferred with the Office of Order of the Niger (OON) alongside other distinguished Nigerians.
The new sets of national awards saw the 49-year-old Okocha making the long list of the recipients.
Known as Augustine Azuka Okocha, the 73-capped master football dribbler scored a total number of 14 goals for Nigeria, won One AFCON and an Olympic gold medal.
An illustrious but short football career saw him playing from Nigeria to Europe. He was greatly admired and still adored by many due to his extraordinary football skills.
