Injury Update: Kylian Mbappe out for three weeks
French International Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out for the next three weeks due to thigh injury.
This development was confirmed by PSG on Thursday after a medical test on the injury
Mbappe had picked up a thigh injury in PSG’s win over Montpellier.
“Following examinations, Kylian Mbappe has suffered an injury to his left thigh at the level of the biceps femoris. He is expected to be unavailable for three weeks,” the club said in a statement.
He was substituted in the 21st minute in Wednesday’s game after suffering a hard tackle from Leo Leroy.
Mbappe had occupied the headlines for missing penalty in the game. While the VAR ordered his first spot kick to be replayed after the goalkeeper’s save, he would later hit the replay to the post and again missed the rebound.
The situation will certainly see the former world cup champions miss the Champions League round of 16 match against Bayern Munich
