Injury knocks Super Eagles Captain out of International friendly

It was another injury blow update on Saturday’s night from the camp of Super Eagles of Nigeria following the announcement that the team’s Captain, William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of the international friendly game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

The skipper is believed to have picked up a knock during the Super Eagles’ 2-2 draw against the Algeria Team B on Friday in a test game.

“William Troost-Ekong has left camp as a result of an injury cropped during the test game yesterday. He is back to base for further checks. Wishing you a speedy recovery Ekong????” Super Eagles said on Twitter.

His injury update adds to up to the roll of call of players who will be missing out of actions among which are Ahmed Musa,Victor Osimhen and Wilfred Ndidi all due to the same issue.

Nigeria will face Algeria main team on September 27th at Oran in an international friendly.
