INEC officially recognises David Mark-led ADC leadership
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially acknowledged the new leadership of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), appointing former Senate President Senator David Bonaventure Mark as the National Chairman.
In a recent update to the party’s particulars on its website in Abuja, INEC has listed the new executive members of the ADC, marking the resolution of months-long leadership conflicts within the party.
The commission’s announcement confirms that the newly recognized National Working Committee of the ADC is now headed by Sen. Mark as National Chairman, with former Osun State governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola assuming the role of National Secretary.
Other notable appointments include Dr. Mani Ibrahim Ahmad as National Treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary, and former Edo State governor Prof. Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor as the National Legal Adviser.
This development is expected to restore stability and direction to the party as it gears up for the 2027 general elections, with stakeholders expressing optimism about the new leadership’s potential to revitalize the ADC.
