IEDPU Extols Governor AbdulRazaq Over Kwara Poly Rector Appointment
The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union has commended governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman over the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Jimoh Abdul as Rector and Chief Executive Officer of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
IEDPU, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar S. Imam described the appointment as a welcomed development and a perfect choice, adding that the newly appointed Rector as an accomplished academic, seasoned engineer who had served in various administrative capacities and has the technical know-how to spur the institution to a greater height.
The Acting National President of the Union, Alhaji Yahaya O. Ahmed was quoted as saying that “the umbrella socio-cultural organisation of the people of Ilorin Emirate appreciated the sense of fairness, justice and decency,which has characterised the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq since he assumed office as the Executive Governor of Kwara State and most especially on the appointment of the new helmsman of the State Polytechnic.”
The union also felicitated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR on the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Jimoh Abdul.
IEDPU, however congratulated the Former Deputy (Academic) of the Federal Polytechnic Offa on his appointment, charging himself to employ his intellectual assets and administrative experience to reshape the state-owned citadel.
The union, thereby expressed its readiness to support the administration of Dr. Mohammed Abdul to deliver excellent academic service in the state.
