Ilorin youths hail Senator Mustapha’s initiatives to enhance healthcare access, youth empowerment in Kwara

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has lauded Senator Saliu Mustapha for his impactful healthcare and youth empowerment initiatives that aim to enhance the lives of residents in Kwara Central.

In a press statement signed by Alhaji Babatunde Salaudeen, National President of IEYDA, the group commended the senator for a recent four-day medical outreach in collaboration with the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba.

The program, which ran from October 13 to October 16, 2024, offered free consultations, treatments, and medications for patients suffering from chronic illnesses across various locations, including Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Ilorin West, and Asa Local Government Areas.

“The medical outreach will significantly address the healthcare needs of vulnerable community members,” a spokesperson for IEYDA stated, stressing the senator’s commitment to prioritizing the health and well-being of his constituents.

In addition to the healthcare initiative, the Emirate youths expressed gratitude for a three-day training program on solar power installation and maintenance, which equipped 200 youths from Kwara Central with essential skills.

The training, conducted in partnership with the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), also provided participants with start-up tools to launch their careers in solar power systems.

The IEYDA praised Senator Mustapha’s dedication to youth empowerment, noting that his initiatives are creating job opportunities and reducing unemployment in the region.

“These programs reflect the senator’s commitment to the growth and development of Kwara Central, particularly in equipping our youth with sustainable skills,” they added.
