The duo of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho will not be in action when Nigeria Super Eagles face Mozambique in another friendly encounter on Monday.
The strikers have left the Super Eagles camp in Portugal with different reasons aluded to their exit.
Osimhen is now believed to be nursing hamstring injury. The Napoli striker had to be replaced in Friday’s match with the Saudi Arabia early in the second half.
Reports has it that Napoli is already studying his medical condition and an MRI scan result is expected to be announced soon.
Iheanacho played a vital role in swinging the course of the friendly against Saudi following his introduction in Friday’s game and also eventually scored the spectacular goal that gave Nigeria an initial lead against Saudi Arabia
The Leicester city man will also not be available on Monday when Nigeria face Mozambique in another friendly match.
According to a press release by the NFF, Iheanacho left the camp to attend to personal matters.
Nigeria will be hoping to get its first win in an international friendly game since 2019 when it last defeated Egypt at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta state by a lone goal courtesy of Paul Onuachu’s brilliant strike in the 20 seconds of the game
