Ibrahim Abiola appointed as co-chairman of Citizens’ Assembly in Kwara

 
Ibrahim T. Abiola has been appointed as the Co-Chairman of the Citizens’ Assembly in Kwara State under the auspices of the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Community Engagement, North Central Zone, Mrs. Abiodun Essiet. 

An indigene of the Eleyele community in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, the young and promising legal practitioner is a partner of Abuja-based law firm, iCorporate Practitioners, where his legal business is flourishing.

As the Co-Chair, Abiola, alongside the Chairman of the Assembly, Lawal Olohungbebe, who is also the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Community Development, will be overseeing the activities of the Assembly’s volunteers across Kwara State. 

Speaking on his appointment, the legal practitioner thanked Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Community Engagement, North Central Zone, Mrs. Abiodun Essiet, for the confidence reposed in him.

He described the appointment as an opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the country while also keying in to the vision of President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

“This appointment is a call to serve my country, and I promise to do so with utmost commitment and dedication. I thank President Bola Tinubu for this initiative and Mrs. Abiodun Essiet for the opportunity to serve,” he said.

The Citizens’ Assembly is an initiative of President Bola Tinubu that aims to foster community engagement, co-creation, and problem-solving. It provides a platform for citizens to raise issues, propose solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders and government agencies.
While the Assembly will also foster meaningful community engagement and dialogue across the North Central region, it’s also expected to promote civic participation and local development initiatives.

The Assembly will also provide timely, accurate, and verifiable information on local opportunities and challenges to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement of the North Central Zone.
