The Executive Committee of Ibolo Peace Parley has expressed their delight over the nomination of Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) as Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu.
The body described the legal luminary as one of the illustrious sons of the ibolo land who have distinguished himself as a serious minded advocate and has made his marks in the legal profession.
In a statement signed by Chief R.O Balogun,
General Secretary of the body, they described the nomination of the as a well deserved one.
The statement noted that the President of Ibolo Peace Parley, Engr. Bashir Lawal and other members of the association are quite elated on the nomination of and applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for considering an Ibolo man worthy of being appointed as a minister in the current dispensation.
“We heartily congratulate the Onijagbo in Council, Ijagbo Descendants Union(IDU) and all of us in Ibolo land, comprises of all communities in Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas of Kwara State on the nomination of our own Prince Fagbemi as a minister”
“He is eminently qualified to be called a colossus at the Bar and his nomination as a minister in the Federal Republic of Nigeria is therefore well deserved”
“We have our conviction that the quintessential legal luminary will bring into bear his wealth of experience and exposure while serving this country in whatever capacity he is appointed to oversee” the statement added.
Prince Fagbemi was elevated to the exalted and prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1996 and has contributed immensely to the legal jurisprudence in Nigeria
