Hours after declaring support for Atiku, Ex-Speaker, Dogara decamps to PDP

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, barely 48 hours after declaring open support for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Abubakar Atiku.

The former Speaker was welcomed into the PDP at the presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar in Lagos State on Monday.

The former federal lawmaker and some aggrieved northern APC chieftains openly declared support for Atiku, after their disagreement with the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the APC.

They described their support for the former vice president as a possible way to defeat the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the ruling party.
