Hajj 2022: Remember Nigeria in your prayer – Saliu Mustapha urges pilgrims
The Kwara Central Senatorial candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has congratulated Hajj pilgrims, urging them to remember Nigeria in their prayer.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mustapha, wished the pilgrims exciting journey.
The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate said, “As you prepare to partake in this year’s Hajj, I write to send you my best wishes on this exciting journey of faith.
“You are going to be amongst the over one million pilgrims in Mecca, in the largest congregation on earth, performing one of your cardinal obligations as Muslims.
“There are several things that Hajj teaches us: unity, brotherhood and sacrifice. In Hajj, Muslims all over the world will join you in the spirit of sacrifice and further commit to building bridges and healing our world.
“As you therefore go through this physically demanding journey, I pray Allah (SWT) blesses you with good health and the strength to complete all your religious obligations during your stay at the holy land.
“Considering that this journey also affords you the opportunity of a deeper closeness to Allah, I request that you kindly remember our community, Ilorin Emirate; Kwara State and, indeed, Nigeria in your prayers, especially as we approach the election and transition year.”
He prayed that Allah accepts their Hajj as an act of worship and wished the pilgrims a safe return.
“I congratulate you for making this holy and glorious journey. It is my prayers that Allah accepts your hajj, grants you all its blessings here and in the hereafter and gives you a chance to perform hajj every other year. Ameen!
“Please enjoy your trip, and I wish you a safe return,” he expressed.
