Gunmen kidnap traditional ruler in Abuja
The traditional ruler of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The Informant247 gathered that the monarch was abducted at gunpoint in front of his palace around 9:32 pm on Wednesday.
The monarch’s brother, Malam Jibrin D. Gimba, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Thursday.
Gimba, who is the Chief Imam of the Community’s Central Mosque said, “I just walked into my house after his palace when he said he wanted to take some shower after which he will come out rest in front of his palace to take some fresh air.
“Some few minutes later, I started hearing a gunshot. I watched through my window and discovered that the kidnappers had whisked him away.”
The attack is said to be the third in the community in recent times.
The kidnappers were yet to make any contact with the family as at the time of filing this report.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh did not pick her call nor did she reply to her text messages.
