Political group, Kwara Transformation Movement has announced its next move to join the ruling All progressive congress, APC in the state.
KTM is a group under People’s democratic Party, PDP, formed to stand up for the commoners but it is now ready to associate with APC.
The group, while meeting with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s close aide, Engr Lanre Eletu, disclosed that they are willing to join the APC if their expectations would be met.
The members reiterated that they are still neutral until their request and expectations are met, because they have been promised and failed several times in PDP.
The group leader, National coordinator, Comrade Lawal Omoyooba in an interactive session with coordinators of Kwara Central, stressed that their major request from the Governor is party recognition.
He claimed the PDP has frustrated some members out of the party, adding that some party’s flagbearers have failed to recognize the group as member of PDP, “for this reason we have dissociate ourselves from the party.”
Omoyooba said they have decided to working with Governor AbdulRazaq due to his achievements.
Responding the group’s request, Engr Lanre Eletu said that he will speak to the Governor about their requests, stressing that the would be Governor interested in the group and would wish to welcome them to the party.
He said, “I don’t want to raise anybody’s hope, but definitely you all will be carried along and it could be according to your profession”.
“And I promise to table all your request to His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq before you would be called to meet with him.”
