Group distributes sewing machines, hairdryers, other items to Ilorin residents

An Ilorin based Non-Government Organisation, Adirahf Foundation, in her philanthropic gesture on Saturday, June 11 distributed empowerment items worth huge amount of money to porters, apprentices in Ilorin.

The charity acts were aimed at lifting the downtrodden above poverty line, creating a long lasting network of wealth and promoting entrepreneurhip among people in the society.

The charity campaign kicked off at Mandate Market, in Ilorin where one Mrs Sabitiyu Abdulrahim, a Porter at the market got ten bags of charcoal and one iron stand – to revive her already liquidated charcoal business.

At Ago market, two other beneficiaries – namely Raliatu Jimoh and Aminat Jimoh got ten bags of charcoal and one iron stand each -to display their goods.

Similarly, Hassan Kudirat, Ibrahim Halimah and Abdulganiyu Mustapha received one sewing machine each as the duo of Jamiu Rasheedat and Issa Khadijah Oritoke as well got one hairdryer and other salon kits each.

The beneficiaries while expressing gratitude, prayed to God to continue to bless and favour the founder of the charity association with abundant resources, pledging to make judicious and meticulous use of the empowerment items in order to achieve financial freedom in the not-too-distant future.

Secretary of the foundation, Mallam Ismail Adeyemi Kiyesola stressed that the organization will never to cease to advance her humanitarian behavior as this is third time Adirahf would be reaching out to the less privilege this year, further noting that it is the cardinal objective of the foundation to lift people from abject poverty.

In his final submission, Mr. Kiyesola enjoined the beneficiaries to use the opportunity to rewrite their financial stories as nothing is too small to start with.

He however, assured the beneficiaries that the foundation would continue to keep tabs on their entrepreneurial progress from time to time.
