The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has been re-elected in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Buni has been declared the winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The state returning officer, Prof Umar Pate, made the announcement at the INEC headquarters in Damaturu.
Pate revealed that Buni who is recontesting for the governorship position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 317,113 votes to conquer his closest opponent, Sheriff Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 104,259 votes.
The Informant247 understands that Buni is the former caretaker chairman of the ruling party.
