…says governor must deal with fallout from dropping three senators

…insists Gov AbdulRazaq must fight Saraki, other aggrived Kwara politicians alone

Former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has described Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as “timid”, accusing him of falling into the political trap of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Wike made the remarks during TVC’s Journalists’ Hangout on Monday, where he questioned why AbdulRazaq had involved him in his political dispute with Saraki.

“The governor of Kwara, I have never seen a man who is so timid like that,” Wike said.

“People might challenge me for calling a governor timid, but the fact is if a man is timid, he is timid.”

Wike said he had met AbdulRazaq several times and advised him to handle his political differences with Saraki himself rather than involving him.

“I told him, what is your problem? I don’t carry anybody’s fight. You want to fight Saraki, then go and fight him. Why will you, as a politician, fall into the trap of Saraki?” he said.

“What is my business? If you have a problem with Saraki, why will you fall into his trap? Now you want me to fight him? For what?”

Wike also accused AbdulRazaq of running propaganda against him, saying Saraki should address his own political problems rather than involving others.

“He carried propaganda against me every day. When you have a problem, you admit and try to solve it, not drag people to your problems,” he said.

The former Rivers State governor also referred to AbdulRazaq’s decision to drop three senators in Kwara, arguing that the move had created a political challenge the governor must now manage himself.

“I don’t even know anywhere in Kwara. You are the one who decided to drop three senators in Kwara. Which politician does that?” Wike asked.

“You must be a super politician to survive that. So go and deal with it yourself.”
