Gobir mourns late Police commissioner, Jimoh at fidau prayer

Chairman Gobir Organization Foundation, Waziri Yakubu Gobir on Monday attended Fidau prayers for the late Cross River Commissioner of Police,  AbdulKadir Lanre Jimoh.

The deceased, who hailed from Ilorin, died last Friday at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH following a brief illness.

Waziri Gobir commiserated with the family of the late Police chief, the Emir of Ilorin and the entire Ilorin Emirate over the loss, which he described as “a rude shock”.

“CP AbdulKadir Jimoh was one of our finest in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara at large. He will be sorely missed by the people and communities he had a great impact on during his life. My last encounter with CP Jimoh was at his late mother’s Janazah. May Allah grant them both Al Jannatul Firdaus. He was a man ready to stretch out his helping hands at all times, and I pray that Allah gives his wife and children the fortitude to bear the loss,” Waziri told reporters after the final rites. “CP Jimoh has left a huge void in the Nigeria Police Force as a committed and loyal officer, and I commiserate with the Inspector General of Police, and the Nigeria Police Force on another sad loss.”

He prayed to Allah to give the family and Emir of Ilorin the fortitude to bear the loss.
