Fire consumed a gas plant along the Obirikwere bridge axis of the East West road in Port Harcourt, the capital of River State.
The fire incident happened around 8am, Wednesday.
Men of the Federal Fire Service, however, reached the affected scene of the incident to quench the fire.
An operative of the fire service has revealed that the inferno was triggered by a “leakage from a tank” in the gas station.
Neither the Fire Service, nor the eyewitnesses has revealed the number of casualties.
It was gathered that at least three persons may have been affected by the inferno.
