Tyson Fury has confirmed that he has sent a draft contract paper to Anthony Joshua ahead of their September fight.

This development has reignited the potential of the all-time British fight between the heavyweights scheduled for Wembley Stadium.

“A few days ago I sent a draft contract to @anthonyjoshua for a fight in September @wembleystadium,” Fury said on Instagram.

“It’s  a fight that everyone wants to see including myself. Come on AJ lets give the world what they want to see. This time I’m not gonna make a million vids & keep putting pressure on. The ball is now on your side.”

Reacting to the development,Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn told IFLTV that his client is yet to receive contract papers as claimed by Fury.

“No contract has been sent to Anthony Joshua, but they have reached out to me to discuss the fight but no contract has been sent.

“We’re not closing the door on a Tyson Fury fight. We’ve just to make sure Anthony Joshua’s career goes to plan smoothly and not be messed around by other people”.

The duo of Fury and Joshua have been linked to a showdown on multiple occasions but the bout hasn’t materialized.

In the intervening months, Fury had been critical of Joshua for supposedly failing to meet a self-imposed deadline by which to sign a fight contract in September.
