The former Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, has won his senatorial bid for a second term.
The Informant247 understands that the former Governor represents Bayelsa west in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
Dickson had 27,231 votes to conquer the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayakpo Danyegha.
The returning officer for the senatorial district, Samuel Enahoro, announced Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the election.
In the same development, the PDP came victorious in two other senatorial districts — Bayelsa central and Bayelsa east.
Benson Agadaga and Benson Kombowei were came victorious in the elections to become senators representing Bayelsa east and Bayelsa central senatorial districts respectively by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
