Five persons die in Kogi road accident
Five persons have died in a ghastly road accident in Kogi State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred on Sunday in Ogbagbo junction along the Ejule-Ochadamu road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State around 12.47 p.m
The road accident involved eight persons; four persons lost their lives instantly while others sustained severe injuries.
It also revealed that a Nissan car had a collision with a Mazda car which triggered the death of the five victims.
The Sector Commander of the Kogi State, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Stephen Dawulung confirmed the development on Monday.
He referred to the incident as “very unfortunate, saying that, one of the cars could not control its movement while trying to escape jumping in a pothole as it veered off its lane and had a collision with the other car.
