Financial expert, Aliu announces Irepodun LG chairmanship ambition

A financial expert, Aliu Abdullateef Dasofunjo, on Monday, declared his intention to contest Irepodun chairmanship seat in the forthcoming Local Government elections in Kwara State.

Aliu, who is from Igbonla, Kwara State, urged everyone to support his ambition for the progress of Irepodun LGA, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.

He is an accountant, social impact strategist, and humanitarian passionate about politics and community development. He has 30 years experience in business management, stocks and securities, real estates development, operations and sales.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos; Aliu has worked in different capacities as an ambassador of Kwara and Kwara South in various political and non- political organizations.

Between 2012-2014, he served as a member of contact and mobilization committee of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN); He served as PA to the elected Chairman APC Kwara South Lagos Branch between 2014 and 2016; He is the assistant financial secretary of Omo Ibile Igbomina, lagos branch since 2016; Treasurer of APC Kwara South, Lagos branch since 2016.

He has a strong connection and relations with the people of Kwara; hence his participation in the first “Otoge rally” organized by Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) caucus, which took place in Ajasse-ipo in 2012; he was a member of the contact and mobilization committee for the APC’s President Muhammadu Buhari and Kwara’s Governorship Campaign in 2014. He was also one of the organizers of the first ever Kwara South summit which was said to have worked effectively for the political mobilization of President Buhari, Gov. Rahman Razaq and other Kwarans before and during the 2019 general election in Lagos and Kwara State.
