Filthy environment: KWSG declares state of emergency

The Kwara State government have declared a state of emergency on the clearing of dirt in the nooks and crannies of Ilorin metropolis, this medium can authoritatively report.

This much was disclosed exclusively to this medium by the State’s Commissioner for Environment and Forestry, Otunba Taiwo Joseph, who was reacting to outcry of filthy environment in the state capital, summoned an emergency meeting of social contractors, saddled with the responsibility of clearing the dirts at intervals, he however threatened to revoke contract of any contractor found wanting.

OTJ said “I have declared emergency on waste evacuation within Ilorin metropolis. I summoned all the social contractors yesterday and gave them matching order, we won’t hesitate to terminate appointment of any of the contractor who fail to comply” he stressed.
