FG palliatives: Muktar Shagaya drives transparency as constituents get 1,200 bags of rice

In a bid to ensure transparency and effective distribution, Representative Muktar Tolani Shagaya of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency engaged stakeholders on Saturday, organizing an event in partnership with Balisha Concepts Ltd and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The initiative aims to distribute Federal Government palliative items, including 1,200 bags of rice, to constituents.

As there was however confusion over the true situation of things following a delay of the distribution by the lawmakers, Shagaya, committed to keeping his constituents informed, held a stakeholders’ engagement at the constituency office in Ilorin.

This event served as an opportunity to update constituents on the latest developments regarding the distribution of palliative items received for the constituency.

The 1,200 bags of rice (50kg) had earlier underwent inspection by the Procurement Department of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security before being presented to the constituents.

Shagaya’s political aide, Hon. Kale Oloje, emphasized the representative’s commitment to inclusivity and promised to carry constituents along, aligning with the pre-election campaign promise.

Hon. Kale Oloje also called for collaboration and technical support to enhance the representative’s efforts in delivering democracy’s dividends to the constituents.

He highlighted Shagaya’s recent distribution of essential items to flood disaster victims, underlining the potential for further positive impacts with continued support.

The DG of Salman Shagaya Foundation, Alh. Muftau Akanbi Oke, sharing insights into Shagaya’s upcoming plans for constituents, expressed appreciation for stakeholders’ support.

He emphasized Shagaya’s commitment to an open-door policy, welcoming suggestions, inquiries, and technical advice.

Attending the meeting were traditional and religious leaders, political party chieftains, journalists, market women, nonprofit organizations, and security agencies, among others.

Alhaja Muibat Olumoh, Deputy Iyaloja of Kwara Marketers, praised Hon. Shagaya for being a trustworthy and responsible representative, acknowledging the positive impact of his strides in the national assembly.

Muktar Shagaya’s relief effort for flood-affected constituents

Recall that Representative Muktar Tolani Shagaya demonstrated compassion on Tuesday by distributing over 1000 units of essential items to victims of the recent flood disaster in Kwara State.

The distribution, according to Rep. Shagaya, aimed to alleviate the challenges faced by those affected by the devastating flood.

The relief materials, meticulously categorized into social relief care packs, nutritional packs, livelihood items, and building materials, were thoughtfully distributed across various areas within the constituency.
