FG flags off public service entrepreneurship programme

The Federal Government, in partnership with the Bank of Agriculture, has flagged off the Federal Public Service Entrepreneurship Programme (FPSEP) for public officers and those at the brink of retirement.

This was revealed by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan.

She said the programme was put in place to pay great attention to the welfare of the public officers.

She said the programme would create opportunity for public servants to get supplementary income to develop their quality of life and for them to be able to cope after service.

“The programme consists of two components namely: Agri-preneurship start-up scheme; and pre-retirement training and business start-up scheme.

The Director-General, National Senior Citizen Centre, Emem Omokaro, said the programme would be of great importance to senior citizens after they retire from service.
