Father of one took his own life in Imo
A middle-aged man who’s simply identified as Austine (Biggy) has reportedly committed suicide at Umunwalo off CGG road Irete, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Informant247 gathered that the deceased, was from Awo- Idimili, Orsu LGA.
He reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself on Thursday.
The father of one was reported to have taken his own life by hanging himself on a ceiling fan in his room.
The Informant247 learned that the gory scene has thrown those who are close to the deceased, especially those living around the first bus stop, Umuoyo village into mourning.
A source within the community , Deacon Dan Opara told newsmen that the deceased did not leave any suicide note behind but those who witnessed the scenario said his action might be connected with economic hardship.
The source also speculated that the suicide may be a result of failed marriage from his wife who allegedly dumped him for another man and left with his child.
Opara revealed that why the deceased committed suicide is unknown as he was DA said to have looked hearty the last moment he was sighted by those who are close to him before he took his own life.
A neighbour who pleaded anonymity said: “For some time now he had been behaving like someone who had a mental health problem.”
The spokesperson of the police in the state, Michael Abattam, when communicated confirmed the news, and described it as accurate.
