Gboyega Awoyinka, 42, has been kept in a Correctional Centre over alleged rape of Rhoda Adeboye, a mentally challenged woman, inside a cocoa farm.
The suspected rapist has reportedly committed the offence at Kajola —Ojurin in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape leveled against him.
Inspector Jimmy Amuda, who’s the Police prosecutor, has asked for the permission of the court to send the case file to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
B. A. Ikusika, who’s the Presiding Magistrate, has remanded the suspected rapist at the Okitipupa Correctional Centre till the outcome of legal advice from the DPP.
