With few days left to the 2019 Hajj, an annual Islamic Pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, some intending-pilgrims believed to be locals of Ekiti and Ondo had berated flight delay and negligence by airlines billed to airlift them to the holy land.
Our correspondent interrogated one of the intending pilgrims, according to him, he said they were supposed to be airlifted since yesterday, but the air max aircraft that was supposed to convey them was not on ground.
Theinformant247 credibly gathered that the intending-pilgrims berated the level of overcharging in the airport as vendors take advantage of the hapless situation to hike prices of commodities as this has left them financially strapped.
One of the intending-pilgrims disclosed to our correspondent that they bought bread sold for 100 naira in Ilorin metropolis for 400 naira to show the level of exploitation in the airport.
Another intending-pilgrim, out of frustration and strandedness has called on the airport authority to please refund their money if they cannot convey them to the holy land.
