An Ilorin magistrate court, on Wednesday, remanded a twenty-seven years old farmer, Yusuf Ishola, who allegedly conspired with a motorcycle rider to dispossess a woman of a handbag containing one hundred and fifty-six thousand naira and some other valuables.
The defendant (Ishola) was charged to court for the offence of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.
The police report stated that the defendant with the aid of the motorcycle who was simply identified as Sheu collected the woman’s money, phones and some other things.
The prosecutor, Inspector Isaac Yakub, prayed the court to remand the defendant in police custody pending the determination of their findings.
Magistrate Wahab Saka, who presided over the case, however, ceded to the prosecutor’s prayer and ordered the defendant’s remand while the matter was adjourned to six of next month.
