Samari said the general public should ignore the report, adding the party chairman is only on his usual annual medical trip outside the country, whereby the leader of the party in State, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, CON, was also aware of the trip.

He said, “I read with consternation the falsehood being deliberately circulated by mischief makers that Prince Sunday Fagbemi has been replaced as APC Chairman in Kwara State.

“This is fake news which should be ignored and disregarded by our members and the general public. Prince Fagbemi remains our Chairman; he is only on his usual annual medical trip outside the country. This is a known fact to the Leader of the party in State, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, CON.

“Prince Fagbemi personally told me as his Deputy to take charge of the party’s affairs until his return to the country. This has been a normal practice whenever he would not be available in the country for medical reasons.

“Mischief makers should ply their dirty trade elsewhere. I remain loyal to Prince Fagbemi as well as to the Leader of the Party in the State, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq.

“I call on all loyal APC members and the general public to please ignore the mischief makers.
