An alleged Screenshot of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq asking the public to pay certain amounts of money and get bumper Returns on Investment, is not authentic.
The alleged screenshot has been circulated on Telegram group, and it has the picture of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
On the screenshot, it asked the public to pay minimum of N20, 000 and get N40, 000, N30, 000 to get N60, 000…
Meanwhile, the name of the Telegram group was Mrs. Aminah Zahir, as against Sadiya Umar Farouq which is the real name of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
On the screenshot, one of the people in the group was seen asking for bank details, and another person was asking how to register for the unauthentic investment.
However, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has posted a disclaimer on its verified Facebook page.
The DISCLAIMER reads:
“The attention of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has been drawn to a fraudulent Cash Wealth Investment Programme asking the public to pay certain amounts of cash and get bumper Returns on Investment.
“This is to inform the public that the Ministry does not run such fraudulent programs and should be disregarded. The public is advised to always verify similar post from official/verified channels.
“The public should please take note.”
