Exclusive: Rangers will return to ‘Cathedral’ in less than one month – Amobi Ezeaku
The Chief Executive Officer /General Manager of Rangers International FC of Enugu has revealed that the club will return to its traditional home ground of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu very soon.
Ezeaku revealed this in an exclusive interview with The Informant247 on Sunday after his team played a 1-1 draw with Kwara United in the NPFL match day four game.
He stated that the state government has provided all the needed resources to get the facility back working and action will resume back to the Stadium back very soon.
“I know that in less than one month, we should be back in the cathedral because as at today, one of the consignment got to Enugu.
” We have been on this roller coaster for a long time. The contractors are doing a lot and the state government has given everything and all the resources needed.
” The cathedral is a place people want to be. People love the ambience and the support from the fans, so we will back there shortly. he said.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium that serves as the home ground for the Enugu Rangers, and features a seating capacity for about 22,000 spectators.
Rangers have been playing their home games at the Awka City Stadium, Since the renovation began in 2022.
FIFA and UEFA trained Amobi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer/ General Manager of the History-rich Rangers International FC of Enugu before the new season began and he has set out for a transformative agenda for the club.
