A Kwara-based Civil Society Organization, Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), acclaimed for its #FollowKwaraMoney activities, has asked the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to give a comprehensive account for some 2017-2019 capital projects budgets of the Federal Government executed by the Agency.
This was disclosed by the Deputy Coordinator (Administration), Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), Mrs Usman Radhiyyat Taiye in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
The request letter was signed by its Coordinator, Alagbonsi Abdullateef and submitted to the Managing Director of FERMA on Monday.
The group recalled that it had earlier written two (2) Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to FERMA on some of the projects, which the Agency failed to reply.
ENetSuD, therefore, presented a new request to FERMA (to include additional projects) and urged the MD to provide all the required information within seven (7) days in compliance with the FOI Act 2011.
The projects upon which ENetSuD requested information from FERMA include:
“Operation, Maintenance and Repair (OMR) of Street Lighting Installations along International Airport Road, Ilorin; Major Maintenance Repairs of Share-Patigi-Eggan Kogi State Border Road including Patigi with Spur in Kwara State; Special Repairs of Okeoyi – Olooru Junction (North Link); General Maintenance Repairs of Failed Sections of OmuAran Ekanmeje-Ekiti S/B Road in Kwara State.”
Others include: “General Maintenance Repairs of Ilorin-Omuaran-Kogi State Border Road in Kwara State; Completion of Phase IV planned WORK FERMA State Field Office Kwara state; Rehabilitation/maintenance of Owode market, Lamodi area with medium weight bearing 2 bridges and culvert, Lamodi area, Offa, Offa LGA, Kwara state; Rehabilitation of Ekan-Ilale-Ila road in Oke-ero LGA, Kwara state.”
