Elerin of Erin-Ile, Kwara chief judge, attorney-general to grace NBA young lawyers’ retreat in Ilorin
The Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye Adetona II, the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice A. A. Adebara, and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Kwara State, Barr. Senior Sulyman are among dignitaries expected at the 2026 Law Retreat of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF), Ilorin Branch.
The three-day retreat, scheduled to hold from June 10 to 12 at the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, is themed, “Charting the Course: Young Lawyers’ Journey Through Innovation and Collaboration”.
According to the organisers, the retreat is designed to provide a platform for young legal practitioners to engage on emerging trends in the profession, strengthen professional networks, and explore opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
The event will begin with a novelty football match on June 10, while the opening ceremony is slated for June 11.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Lukman Oyebanji Fagbemi, will deliver the keynote address, while the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice A. A. Adebara, will chair the opening ceremony.
Chairman of the NBA Ilorin Branch, S. M. H. Kosemani, will serve as the chief host, while the Chairman of the NBA-YLF Ilorin Branch, Imam-Fulani Abdul-Lateef, will host the event.
The Kwara State Attorney General is expected as a special guest, while the Elerin of Erin-Ile will attend as the Royal Father of the Day.
Organisers said the retreat will feature discussions aimed at equipping young lawyers with the skills and perspectives required to navigate the evolving legal space.
