Eid-ul-Maulud Celebration: FG Earmarks Monday as Public Holiday

The Federal Government has earmarked Monday, 11th Novemeber as Public Holiday to celebrate the 2019 Eid-ul-Maulud in remembrance of the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior, Mr Mohammed Manga, made this announcement on Thursday in Abuja.

He disclosed that the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in his congratulatory message to the Muslim faithful on the occasion enjoined to model their lifestyles in accordance with the virtues and teachings of the Prophet, noting that adopting the virtues of love, valour and perseverance would accelerate peace and security in the nation.

The former governor, however expressed confidence that the menaces crippling the country’s progress at the moment would in quick time submerge; and therefore charged Nigerians to remain focused and strong-minded

He further gave the assurance that with the enormous potentials the country with which the country is blessed including its human and natural resources, Nigeria will sooner than later join the league of developed nations.

“With love, commitment, self-sacrifice, patience and patriotism, we will certainly, build a greater Nigeria,” Aregbesola said.

The Minister reiterated Government’s will to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all Nigerians.
